Molybdenum is ideally suited for chisels because of its known reputation for hardness, toughness and wear resistance. Used mainly for light demolition, chiseling, stripping plaster, mortar chasing, channeling and breaking through brickwork.

New Makita SDS Steels have been through a performance enhacning change. Extra high resistance to wear and deformation has been achieved with induction hardening extending efficient life time by 30%. Testing has shown materila removal rates have also been increased by over 15%.
